A site assessment is a key component of church safety and security. The site safety assessment identifies potential risks and helps to determine the focus areas for risk mitigation and training.
A comprehensive safety plan helps ensure that all safety team members are consistently trained to respond to potential situations and that they understand their individual and team roles and responsibilities when executing the plan.
It is also important that a Safety Team have a set of Policies and Procedures to ensure fair and equitable recruitment, training, performance of safety team duties and, if necessary, disciplinary action.
Guard The Flock will conduct a comprehensive Site Safety Assessment and work with the safety team to develop and implement a safety plan. We can also provide a basic set of policies and procedure or work with safety team, and church leadership, to customize them to the church’s requirements.

While it is impossible to prepare for every potential situation, training scenarios expose the team members to a variety of potential situation from which they assimilate knowledge and experience that can be applied to future unique situations as they are confronted with them.
